Unable to find the name of this tune

I hope it’s okay to ask about this here. I’m not looking for a setting for a particular tune, I’m trying to figure out the name for a tune that I have a recording of from a session I attend. I’ve played it for the session players since that recording, and while most of them knew the tune well enough to play along, none of them knew the name. I’ve tried looking it up via Tunepal a number of times, starting at different spots in the recording, and after attempting to enhance the quality, but no go. I suspect it’s because the tune wasn’t all that well known to the players and so there were only a few people playing it while other people talked in the background.

I’ve written it down in ABC format, crudely, and dumbed down a little from what was played. This is my first attempt at ABC. The notation seems correct when I read through and play it.

Can anyone help identify this tune?

Re: Unable to find the name of this tune

I think I know this one - recorded by Gary Shannon, and I heard it on a CD earlier this week. It’ll come to me if no-one else gets it first

Re: Unable to find the name of this tune

Thanks, both of you!

Apparently also titled “Parnell’s March”. I’ve been listening to it on my FourWinds album (album: FourWinds), track 11 “Paddy Fahy’s, The Gaelic Club, Parnell’s March” plus there are lots more recordings of it on YouTube.

Well done, “spindleshanks”. I had heard it on Sean O’Dwyer’s “Concertina from Beara” CD a few days ago. Now I have 2 names for it.
