Flute Duett Recordings?

Flute Duett Recordings?

Hi,
Can you suggest me some recordings, where two flutes play together?
I really like the sound of flutes playing nearly unison, except for harmonies here and there.
Thanks!

"Double Barreled" and "Two Tone" by John Skelton and Kieran O’Hare come to mind. Also "The Pleasures Of Hope" By Harry Bradley And Michael Clarkson.

Not ITM, but an interesting CD with some excellent tunes and good playing: ‘Ralsgård & Tullberg: Traditional Flute Music from Sweden’ (KapSyd 2010. www.kapsyd.com).

Re: Flute Duett Recordings?

Tbe two CDs John Skelton and Kieran O’Hare are fine examples of two flutes in unison with little or no accompaniment. John told our class that after the first couple of tracks recorded they realized they need to play a bit looser with each other as the tracks sounded like they were overdubbed by the same flute instead of being two players.

Both are very clean flute players.

hi, thanks for the input!I have listened a lot to "Double Barrelled". This is the stuff I was looking for! Seems like I need to order some CDs from Sweden and another one from north Ireland :)
