Looking for the names of some Martin Mulvihill reels

Re: Looking for the names of some Martin Mulvihill reels

I think the first one is the Golden Keyboard.

Definitely not The Golden Keyboard. It somewhat resembles The Stone in the Field https://thesession.org/tunes/658 , but that tune predates Martin Mulvihill’s era, I think. It could have been an influence on this composition.

The tunes are The Pride of Moyvan / The Low Road to Glin / The High Road to Glin. If you can find a copy of "Traditional Irish Fiddling from County Limerick" you will hear Martin Mullvihill playing them in his own original style..! I love his album great playing and original tunes.

Thanks for posting the downloads. I tried like heck to find that album yesterday.

Re: Looking for the names of some Martin Mulvihill reels

Does anyone have access to his book "First Collection of Traditional Irish Fiddle Music"? I found an index but nothing more. At one time it is said that it was privately circulated around New York.
