What’s this polka called ?

What’s this polka called ?

Hello there

If I’m not mistaken, the musicians in this video play THREE polkas, but only two titles are supplied … could someone out there tell me what the third one is called ?

Thanks !

Re: What’s this polka called ?

Two polkas only, Listen up
The first one lasts to 2.36
then changes to the second
tune.

Re: What’s this polka called ?

You need to listen closer yourself. 3 polkas.
1st played 3 times up to 1.18
2nd played 3 times up to 2.36
3rd played 3 times to the end.

Kenny’s right - they change tunes at 1.18 when the bodhran comes in. What might be confusing is they play both the first and second tunes in G, I’ve always known the second [Cuz Teahan’s] in A.

Box player is Dan Herlihy.
Banjo is Denis O’Connor, from Scartaglen.
(Both of these players have made nice recordings of Sliabh Luacra music.)
Fiddle is Con Moynihan, and (I gather from the label of a different YouTube video)
the bouzouki player is John Drew.
