That was “the hit” of 1981… something like 6 months in the Irish charts, permanently on the radio. Loved it until I hated it. Then loving it again. What an amazing tune and Finbar’s is always the best version of this both the singing and the arrangement.

I often wondered about the intro on the banjo.
This guy has tabbed it out in guitar tab.
Is there a way to turn the tab into notation without having to get a guitar and work out the notes and then write it out in standard notation?

What ever happened to learning by ear, its not a very difficult piece. Just wondering.
