Ceilidh Band

Asking for a friend of a friend, does anyone know of a ceilidh band who are available on 14th September and willing to play for a wedding In the Manchester area for a Scottish family?

Re: Ceilidh Band

You are asking for musicians who are willing to play for a Scottish family?
Crikey!
Perhaps you ask to much.
A good Greek, Pakistani or Australian family, perhaps. But…Scottish???!!!
Phew!

Jings, crivens, ma boab, Yhaal Hoose! (Translated as Blimey, mate!)
Having had a "mixed race" (English, N Irish and Scots) family wedding in Devon some years ago, they booked a band that could "play anything and everything" - not bad on Status Quo or Abba, but no Scottish dances. During their break, we put on some tapes (yes, tapes) and all hell was let loose in a mad Flying Scotsman and Strip the Willow: even the English loved it!
