Re: Tune ID - Please & Thanks

The first one.

on the Music at Matt Molloy’s CD as the Cape Breton jig#1

I know the second but cant put a name to it at the moment. Ill have a think about it.

Re: Tune ID - Please & Thanks

Beat me to it by 2 minutes, Scotchy! I know the first one from the Boys of the Lough album "Sweet Rural Shade." I’ve also thought I’ve heard the second, but can’t for the life of me think of the name!

You snooze you lose Whimbrel 🙂
Listening to the second one again, I might be confusing it with another tune as the second part is different.

Re: Tune ID - Please & Thanks

Think this might be the second. Will have to play it when I get home to make sure though.

I recognized it as a Stockton’s wing tune, the trip to London.

Re: Tune ID - Please & Thanks

LOL, fair enough, Scotchy. I did "snooze" in that it took me a short bit of time to think what that first tune was.

Re: Tune ID - Please & Thanks

I know the first tune as Charlie Hunter’s jig. I also know the second but can’t remember where I’ve heard it.

Re: Tune ID - Please & Thanks

Thanks so much all. Greatly appreciated!
