good breath

hi,

does someone could tel me the difference between goldie low f wide and narrow bore
and does the narrow bore necessite more breath than Kerry Optima Tunable Alto F I have actually but request too much breath for me

Not sure what various bore sizes Colin Goldie uses for his F whistles.

I recently bought an “alto” F directly from Colin, the bore is a tad over 18mm or .715 inch.

This whistle is a fantastic player and is very air-efficient. I don’t know about the Kerry alto F. I did have a Burke F which took much more air than the Goldie. The bore of the Burke F was 19.8mm or .78 inch. As would be expected, the Burke (having a larger bore) had a louder low range and stiffer high range than the Goldie.
