Two classic reels played in separate cars..

Two classic reels played in separate cars..

These days we are mostly isolated as the rest of the world. But the itch for a couple of tunes is still there. This is how we (Fir Arda) solved it. Hope you like it.

Re: Two classic reels played in separate cars..

Lovely stuff lads, can’t beat the classics.

Re: Two classic reels played in separate cars..

Not parked beside each other no 🙂
I recorded the whistle and Juha later added guitar and synced (as good as possible) the two videos.

"were the cars parked beside each other?"

now there’s a solution, the drive in session.

Re: Two classic reels played in separate cars..

Wow! Theirlandais. That is actually a great idea! Ideally pickup-trucks backed up in a circle.

Re: Two classic reels played in separate cars..

There was an article in the Seattle Times recently about a group of friends who had a "tailgate party" by backing up their cars — all with lift-up hatches at the rear — for a coffee gathering in a local park. Each car separated by at least 10 or 15 feet in the photo.

You would need a large enough parking lot, and it’s not ideal for hearing each other playing acoustic session instruments at that distance, but it looks like a good option if you can arrange it.

That was great!

As long as you don’t try it at night and choose the wrong car park…could attract all kinds of "wrong" spectators!

Suggested tune if doing that:
"The Doggers Among the Bushes"
