Tune Name Please

Tune Name Please

Does anyone have a name for this tune? Heard it on the Chieftains album “Voice of Ages” tagged onto the end of “The Frost is All Over”. The Recording section here calls it out as “I Buried My Wife” but this would seem to be a very odd variant if it is.

Re: Tune Name Please

Sorry for any trouble but I may have answered my own question. I think it may be The Frieze Britches.

Still somewhat unsure though.

Re: Tune Name Please

I have that album, I think it’s ‘Cunla’.

Re: Tune Name Please

Ok, Cunla is the same as The Frieze britches.

Re: Tune Name Please

Yes! Thank you for the reply!

As I understand it, the A & B parts of “The Frieze Britches” are the melody to the song Cúnla.
