Yesterday (Sunday 25 April 2021) Joe the box squeezer and I enjoyed playing a number of sets in the Kilkenny Tavern. London SW17 beer garden yesterday early evening (and some pints of lovely draught Guinness!). Hooray at last!!!!

Here in Greater Los Angeles the patio dining has been going on for some time.
Now (depending on which County) indoor dining is happening too.
I never knew The Kilkenny had a garden. But then I’ve never been there any earlier than about 9pm before – and not since socialising became taboo.
The Kilkenny has an extensive but very cosy outside area at the back.

In the olden times before the Great Covid of 2020, the Kilkenny was indeed a weekly event. In time s’poze it’ll reoccur.
Wow! What fun! I enjoyed my first outdoor session in a friend’s back garden last Friday: beautiful weather (even in Scotland!), great lunch, super tunes and great craic. Think it will be a while before we get back to the pubs, though.
I have been to two sessions in pub gardens over the last two weekend - however, this weekend’s has been cancelled due to the predicted weather!
My informant tells me that Con at the Blythe says he won’t have sessions for a few weeks yet. I think I can hang on a bit longer.
Anyway, congrats on the return of the craic to SW-wherever.
