Sharyn Tilgner RIP

Sharyn Tilgner RIP

It’s with some sadness that I advise members here at The Session of the passing of Sharyn Tilgner, flute player, originally of NSW, late of Tasmania.
I received the sad news this morning.
Sharyn was a lovely flute player, and her pride and joy was the first flute ever made by the late Michael Grinter. She had accumulated a wealth of tunes from her travels and experiences abroad and was great company.
There are many members here from the big island of Australia who would know and remember her.
She had visited and lived in Ireland and Britain; indeed she used to attend The Hibernia Centre in Portishead.
She was also a highly regarded and dedicated vet, sometimes missing a session or two to care for a sickly creature.
One of life’s lovely beings
Thanks for such lovely tunes and times
RIP Sharyn

All the best
