Ketil, I’m guessing this was not an easy decision to make. But sometimes a step "backwards" is the first step in the right direction. I hope that’s the case for you. Enjoy your musical journey with whistles and the pipes!
You are right! Not easy at all, but when I finally made the decision I felt lighthearted and had a few very nice practise sessions on both pipes and whistles the last few days. It was like I could focus again and not spend my time getting frustrated over my flute playing.
Sounds like it was the right decision.
The important thing is to make music, eh? 🙂
