This is about Gordon Duncan. Specifically his recorded version of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”.

Now, I think it’s high time to consider everything he brought to this tune (or any tune Gordon performed). But this tune in particular is almost quintessential in it’s utterly successful fusion of otherwise disparate elements. And he does this on GHB! Brilliant!
While we shouldn’t forget the original ‘well’ Gordon was drawing inspiration from; https://youtu.be/n_GFN3a0yj0 it is worth listening to his version one more time (or several Xs) & considering the contribution Gordon Duncan’s recording made across the board. To rock, piping, music, fusion… to traditional music.
