Rafferty tune books “2.0” - “300 Tunes” and “Second Wind”

Rafferty tune books “2.0” - “300 Tunes” and “Second Wind”

Hello all,
Both the Rafferty tune books are now available as print-on-demand at amazon in different countries. Here’s the main link: https://www.amazon.com/author/lesl

I’ve recently posted that I’ve run out of Book 1 except for 2 spiral bound left. Since I can’t currently reorder more print books I put it up on amazon.. and then the same for Book 2. I still have 6 spiral Second Wind’s left so if anyone wants an original please message me through my website. Also feel free to ask questions or for help on any tunes!

Also may I reiterate that it’s not necessary to learn all 300 from the first book before you launch into your Second Wind. Though I have to admit, I did that. ;)

Should anyone in the new generation of players not know who Mike Rafferty was, go here:

Happy holidays everyone.

Re: Rafferty tune books “2.0” - “300 Tunes” and “Second Wind”

These books are fantastic, and I’d recommend them to anyone interested in Irish music. Lesl has worked hard on these collections, bringing us a fascinating repertoire of a traditional Irish musician, along with knowledgable annotations, background information and stories gleaned from her “apprenticeship” under Mike’s guiding hand.

@Nigel - reassuring to hear, from an authority on these matters 🙂

Co-incidentally, I ordered both books yesterday, from Amazon ( amazon.co.uk )

Re: Rafferty tune books spiral bounds

Thank you Nigel for your kind words!
For anyone local - I’ll be at Willie McBride’s this afternoon/evening and will bring the remaining spiral bounds along. 6 of Book 2 and 2 of Book 1. Collector’s editions?

That’s Willie McBride’s in Branchburg NJ 4-7pm
