Do you use this board for any other reason than selling stuff?

Some of us like to read of appropriate instruments for sale. This has been discussed a few times over the years, and if I remember correctly Jeremy had no real problem with it. Living in Australia I sometimes see things advertised on this site that are not easy to find over here, so I read all the ads just in case. I have actually purchased a few things from members over the years.

Really not fair to jump on Blu Sol ATX for posting an ad for a flute someone might actually want.

I strongly suggest that this kind of post, where someone goes back and looks at someone’s posting history and then comments about it is destructive to the spirit of this site.

Still, it is always a nice positive when someone can spare the time to find additional ways to contribute to a site, other than perhaps being a silent lurker, reading. You’ll see largely similar history for some folks over on the C&F board. I have often benefitted from the opportunity to buy (and sometimes sell) instruments on specialized interest boards.

I agree Kevin, it’s nice, but not required.

It’s not up to us to decide how others participate here, much less shame them because we happen to review and have some issue with their posting history. I just find that in very poor taste.
