Thanks Brian, nice choice for Robbie Burns’ Day. I drove to Loch Doon some years back while visiting friends in Ayr, but the magic was spoilt rather by a bunch of Glaswegian neds in the car park playing gangsta rap at full volume on their car stereo. Such is life.

Let’s be clear - not all Glaswegians are “neds” - and how did you know they were actually from Glasgow? Did you ask them?
Incidentally, I’ve met some very rough cases from Kent.
No need to specify the origin of these louts, lest it creates a negative image of Glasgow.

Someone , there was a sticker in their back window advertising a motor dealer in Bearsden - is that close enough tae Glesca? And yes we have our share of undesirables in Kent - I’m under no illusions about my home county!

Bearsden - there ye go then. So despite your characterisation they were not from Glasgow. Nor would they want to be. Mostly they think they’re too posh to be keelies, believe it or not.
