Kevin O’Neill Flute Workshop, Perth Feis, March 25 - 26

Kevin O’Neill will be giving a flute workshop at the Perth Feis, Waverly Hotel, Scotland on Friday evening, March 25 and all day Saturday, March 26. The workshop is free, although there is a short mandatory Gaelic lesson on Saturday! There will also be fiddle, pipes, guitar and Gaelic song workshops. A few details from the leaflet - Kevin O’Neill, (flute). Kevin’s musical background lies in the cultural melting-pot of Glasgow, where since an early age, he has been gripped by traditional music. Influenced by many styles of music from Irish flute music to Jazz and Funk groups, he is now exploring Scotland’s rich musical heritage and the influence of the merging tradition. Recognised for his skilled performances, Kev has won All-Ireland, All-Britain and All-Scotland titles on the Flute and Whistle. He is currently working on his debut solo album to be released later in the year.
