The lurk in the morning - Shetland fiddle frenzy

The lurk in the morning - Shetland fiddle frenzy

Subsido ergo sum. Been hanging out at the Session for about three years now, since I foolishly decided to learn the fiddle. Mostly in lurk mode, although occasionally sticking my head up over the edge of the trench, sometimes drawing some rapid, if not particularly well-aimed, fire. Mostly in the morning, first thing, when going on line, before settling into the work for the day. Has been pretty rewarding on occasion, lots of hints and tips flying around freely, and fairly amusing on occasion too. Thanks folk, maybe some day when I attain some sort of competency I can begin to take part.

Asked about the Shetlands a while back and got some worthwhile answers, but am asking again: I plan to hit the Fiddle Frenzy this summer (if it happens) and would be interested in comments from anyone who has taken it in in the past. Cheers.

There are a limited number of spaces for the Fiddle Frenzy, check the Shetland Arts Trust website, I think it is shetlandmusic.com
