World renowned fiddler, Martin Hayes, joins together with his cousin, Christy McNamara, on button accordion and concertina, for a special evening of traditional music from East Clare, accompanied by New York-based guitarist, Eamon O’Leary.

Seating is limited and tickets are $20 payable in cash only at the door.

Biographical Information


Martin Hayes, fiddle virtuoso, plays in the slow, lyrical style of his native East County Clare. He is a six-time All Ireland champion, and was honored with the 2008 award for Traditional Musician of the Year from the Irish language TV channel, TG4. Martin recently released a new CD, "Welcome Here Again," with his musical partner, Dennis Cahill.


Christy McNamara is an award-winning fine arts photographer and musician from East Clare. His book, "The Living Note - the Heartbeat of Irish Music," with Peter Woods, received critical acclaim for his beautiful and expressive images of traditional musicians. Christy released a solo CD in 2007, "The House I Was Reared In," that includes his cousin Martin Hayes, master guitarist Dennis Cahill, among other great musicians.


Eamon O’Leary, guitarist, is from Dublin and now lives in NYC. Eamon started the weekly session at Mona’s and is featured on the CD, "Live at Mona’s."
