Fleadh Nua has something for everyone whether you’re a musician, dancer or just enjoy Irish music, song and dance.
A week of free lunch-time concerts, workshops, sessions, classes and performances awaits you at the annual Fleadh Nua festival. Dates for this year’s event have been set for May 20-28, 2007. As usual, expect to find some of the top names in Irish music plus dancing to Ireland’s premier céilí bands including the Tulla, Kilfenora, Turloughmore Four Courts and Abbey. This year’s event celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the very first Clare fleadh held in Miltown Malbay back in 1957. One of the main attractions will be the release of a CD of that legendary West Clare céilí band, the Lachtain Naofa which will take place in Miltown Malbay on Sunday, 20th May.
