Frank Harte Festival

Celebrating the life and work of Frank Harte and focusing on traditional singing.

Re: Frank Harte Festival

A whole weekend of wonderful songs, wonderful welcoming people, and well organized events…new songs to learn and new friends to keep in touch with. A couple of really big names in traditional singing are members of the club and participated in the singing sessions, Meeting some of my musical heroes was a real treat I had not bargained on,… and a Sunday walking tour of some of Dublin’s famous places immortalized in traditional songs.

The Teacher’s Club is a great venue for this event, with friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff and several wonderful old bars (well stocked and with properly pulled pints) that appear to have been rescued from old pubs and revived in several spots through the beautiful 18th century building in which James Joyce took music lessons.

If you’re a singer, this is the "Must Go" event, IMHO.

Wonderful time this year! So many wonderful singers and so many great songs!

Niamh Parsons and Christy Moore we’re only two of the excellent musicians taking turns sharing songs. Great intimate venue for listening and we’ll organized events.

I really felt welcome and had a wonderful weekend there. Can hardly wait for next year.
