Old Style Step ~ Irish Solo Dance Workshop for Adults

1.45pm Registration for afternoon workshop
2-4pm Workshop: teaching a hornpipe from Michael Tubridy’s 2nd book of dances, a series of steps that
Celine Tubridy learned during her childhood in Donegal.

4pm: Tea / coffee / cake and chit-chat
Workshop cost: £15
Live music throughout

Those attending the beginner session can stay and watch, or participate if they feel able.

The 2pm workshop would suit those who have attended at least 3 terms of Annette’s classes, or have a background in percussive dance.

Annette is an established teacher of Traditional Old Style Solo Step Dancing. The steps and dances she offers have been passed down an unbroken line from the Dancing Masters of old, and are the precursor to competitive Irish Dancing and Riverdance, see website. Annette holds weekly classes at 2 levels in Lurgan Town Hall.

Taster detail - 11 January - FREE event:

1-1.45pm - Beginner Level - Introductory Dance Session
- to include some background, demonstrations
- opportunity to try a few basic a few steps
- absolutely NO experience necessary
- bring some hard soled shoes and a sense of fun!

My weekly class will begin on 15 January in Lurgan Town Hall, beginners @7pm, improver class from 8-9pm. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
