The website of a record label specializing in reissues of old 78 RPM recordings on CD. I believe Alan Ng has catalogued their entire discography up to now on irishtune.info. Some very interesting stuff here.

  • The Music of Julia Clifford

This was posted some months ago in the Discussions section, so I thought I’d transfer this very cool resource on the Sliabh Luachra—London fiddler over here. Some great tunes in here, recorded and transcribed. I don’t think they’ve all made it onto commercial recordings of the Cliffords, Denis Murphy, or Pádraig O’Keeffe..

  • Music and Songs of County Clare

This page links to four separate collections: one with over 400 songs from Clare singers, and three separate collections of live session recordings from Clare musicians from the 1960s to the 1990s totaling over sixty hours of traditional Irish music. The collection of annotated tunes associated with County Clare unfortunately seems to be down, but the rest more than makes up for that. Song lyrics are transcribed and tune lists provided for each session. All hosted by the Clare County Library and playable on SoundCloud. An amazing and monumental resource with rare recordings of singers and musicians all playable for free. Would take a lifetime to sort through, it seems. Oh, and as if all that weren’t enough, this also has recordings of the late Paddy Fahey - need I say more?
