  • Skirdechal!

Skirdechal! is a traditional folk music group based in Angus which was established in 2009 with the aim of encouraging the talented young people of Angus to enjoy music the traditional way ~ playing by ear ~ learning from listening to each other ~ working together to create a sound brim full of the group’s energy & enthusiasm.
The group is made up of young people aged 10 to 18 from all over Angus. The line-up changes as the older members move on and new members join.
Along with the band members, Skirdechal’s repetoire changes over time - the best tunes being the ones you’ve yet to learn. The music varies from traditional fiddle & piping tunes to more modern tunes from Scotland, Ireland, Cape Breton, Brittany & Galicia.
Skirdechal has released a CD entitled "Folk On The Water" that can be downloaded from iTunes - all proceeds from CD sales will go towards supporting the group in the future.
