I am a new player of diddle e dee music started 18 years ago in Castlewellan by attending a tin whistle class in Downpatrick. I am 74 years old and have enjoyed trying to play a guitar since the 1960’s.

I now play a Banjo and blues harmonica along with the bashing of drums. All to my own dissatisfaction and great pleasure.

I will be eternally grateful to a local man Seamus for getting me started on the whistle and have not mentioned his family name to maintain his privacy, any local person reading this will of course know who I am referring to.
