I thought this was just a silly question, but actually I’m in the situation where I’m getting my first vaccination a couple of days before I have to play at an exam on the fiddle. I have heard of people having a sore arm for a few days after the vaccine. more…

Yes I learned this from a very learned and wise violin teacher years ago. We used a walnut. Crushed it in a cotton cloth and used the oil to clean the instrument. Beautiful thing to do but yes be very careful not to get it on the strings or bow hair more…
