Amateur, maybe advanced beginning fiddler, I now see. Played AT it for years on Cajun music, put it down when my band started getting gigs that were a higher level than my fiddle playing would warrant (I play button box too). Just picked it back up, and taking Suzuki violin lessons. Have wanted to for years, and I must say, I now know how much of a corner I’d painted myself into with my self-taught ways, and how sweet this instrument can sound (and I’m sure I’ll make it sound much sweeter later on). Interested in Irish, Cajun, blues, maybe some rock. If I could pull off some classical at some point, I wouldn’t knock that.
Work in Rancho Cordova during the week at the moment. Own a home down in the Bay and stay there on weekends.
