Fiddle, tenor banjo, mandolin, guitar. Using lockdown to improve my ability to sightread tunes on the guitar (just melody: not complex guitar music).

I miss sessions but I’m avoiding crowded indoor places.

Changed my name to OldPaint because I’m old, I paint and it’s a song covered by Linda Ronstadt: what’s not to like?

Used to be a weekly regular at the White Swan on Monday evenings and played at Cambridge Comhaltas meetings and for dancing.

Sometime member of the Cambridge Scottish Accordion and Fiddle Society: http://www.fiddle-and-accordion.org.uk which now has an uncertain future. Playing for Cambridge Scottish Society dances was an enjoyable challenge with some very difficult repertoire.
