Originally from Chicago, IL, now in St Paul, MN with my dear husband Jode and two wee boys Martin and Ferghal. I’ve been playing trad irish music for 30+ years. I learned from Noel Rice (flute), Co. Offaly and Martin McHugh (box), Co. Roscommon. My heroes include Fintan Vallely and Conal O’Grada.

I have played with many different groups in the past; most currently as The Hi B’s http://www.myspace.com/thehibs with many friends and Jode Dowling (fiddle). Our debut recording came out in April 2008. I am a past member of The Doon Ceili Band, the Quaking Bog Ceili Band, Field Day, Mind the Gap, and Baltiorum.

I have taught tin whistle and flute extensively in the US, Northern Ireland and Germany.

In the fall of 2004, I co-founded The Center for Irish Music focusing on Irish music lessons for all ages. After serving as executive director for 5 years, I moved on in August 2009 to pursue other challenges. Catch me on tour soon with the HiBs.
