Esmond Loftus

I live and used to work as a lecturer in Accounting at Inverness a college UHI. Now that I am retired I have more time to spend on one on my main interests, music, especially, blues, jazz and folk music. I also have a considerable interest in Celtic Music, e.g. Tony McManus, Phil Cunningham and Ally McBain.
I was born and bred in Hawick and I spent many years as a bass guitarist with several local Scottish Dance Bands, e.g. Spence Lunn dance band, Neil Barron, Stan Aird band. Having retired from work, as mentioned earlier I spend most of my time at home playing my six string acoustic guitar and much appreciate slow air tunes, such as Eleanor of Usan and Skellig.
