Musical Interests: Fiddle Music (Irish primarily, some Appalachian, some Scottish, a fair bit of Cape Breton), Old Time Banjo, Guitar (Flatpicking, Jazz, Classical)

History: I’ve been playing guitar for 10 years and it is my first instrument and that which I’m most proficient on. I have come to traditional music forms since university. Previously in highschool, I played classical and jazz guitar. I put MANY, MANY hours into classical guitar, and at the current time can only remember Villa Lobos’ Etude No. 1 for Guitar….Got into traditional music when I heard Doc Watson flatpick Billy in the Lowground. I picked up clawhammer banjo in my 3rd year of university. I picked up fiddle last summer (2004) and am making good progress and am having a blast.
