Stuart Robertson

I live in Manchester, but was born in Liverpool. I used to play the guitar (mainly claw hammer) until arthritis got the better of my hands. I was introduced to the idea of the mountain dulcimer by a chap running a music store in Chorlton, so I explored what it was and took the plunge. I have two main instruments and I can’t get over how beautiful they sound. As they are both diatonic instruments I’ve found it really helpful to explore some music theory to understand what they offer - I used to just play by ear, so this learning process has been very exciting. That’s probably it really - but are there any other mountain dulcimer players in South Manchester? I wonder!
