My main instrument the last few years is the OM. I like Irish traditional music but I’m not a traditionalist, although when playing alone, that’s more the way it goes. My rythym accompaniment style derives from the bass drum in a Scottish pipe band I heard once: not strictly trad, but it drives so well!
I enjoy transcribing tunes from recordings VERY much. By the time I get it written down, I usually know it- what a good exercise! The tunes I’ve posted here are like a side effect of that process.

I just had the idea to change a regular jig into a slip jig…this is what happened to Condon’s Frolics.

Moved to Kalamazoo a couple of years ago and am getting exposed to a bunch of new people who know different tunes than I used to play. thesession therefore becomes more important as a resource.
