Mary Felgate

I am a fiddle player from Essex. My passion is Dance music, especially Scottish and especially the old fiddle masters like Scott Skinner and Neil Gow. Of course Ian Powrie too! but I am constantly listening to different fiddle players both current and diseased as they are all very different. I collect tunes and formed my own Scottish Dance Band, The Caledonian Reelers 35 years ago. We play formally for the RSCDS and informally for weddings, Corporate, birthday parties, Burns nights etc.,

I also love Irish dance music (my two daughters dance, one of which was world champion, teaches and adjudicates).

I love Riverdance compositions and musicians
Eileen Ivers, Davy Spillane, Leahy, Beoga, etc and yearn to play with Irish/Scottish musicians - will never give up playing or let this inspirational music wilt
