I am from Buffalo NY. I have been playing fiddle off and on as an adult learner for about 10 years taking lessons and mostly playing solo. I picked up mandolin about 4 years ago and can play some tunes but generally slower and not as strong as I am on fiddle. I started finally playing in a small group in 2022 and my playing has really improved in a short time. I am interested in playing with folks more often and there is a group that meets once a week for a session and recommended this website to learn the tunes they play.
