Dan Carollo is a Seattle-area acoustic fingerstyle guitarist who performs a blend of contemporary traditional Irish and American instrumental tunes (primarily in DADGAD tuning).
Along the way, he has drawn his main influences from guitarists such as Martin Simpson, Pierre Bensusan, John Doyle and Tony McManus.
Dan released his debut CD “Waiting For Inspiration” in March 2004. This 13-song CD features a mix of Irish, American, old-time gospel, and original tunes. See: https://thesession.org/recordings/display/1734

Music from his CD “Communion of Saints” was featured in the BBC TV program Britain’s Lost Routes with Griff Rhys Jones, the “Pilgrims” episode.

Music from his second CD release, “Miles From Dublin”, as well as some original scoring was included an independent film “The Dark Horse” by Seattle film director Cornelia Duryée Moore.
Dan’s “Miles from Dublin” was added to the Irish Traditional Music Archive in Dublin, Ireland and listed in the January/February 2007 issue of “The Journal of Music in Ireland”.
Dan plays Taylor Guitars and an Alvarez baritone guitar.
