Lancashire Lass ,although not so much of a lass now.In true stereotype I played in the local brass band and learnt clog dancing.Mum took me to playford dance sessions and and introduced me to English dance tunes.
Dad played in a band with Jim Maguire brother of the more famous Sean so as a child I listened to the most wonderful ITM played in our kitchen.They also switched between Irish and swing or jazz so musically as a child I liked all sorts of music.
I play Recorders,Whistle ,Tuba and work as a dance caller with various bands. .Regular at sessions in , Hull and Beverley.I now live in East Yorkshire. Attend monthly session at black boy
