Hairy button accordion player from Cavan Ireland,

I play a Briggs made B C ,fast action and 12 bass ,always looking for an old grey box ,done LPs and CDs and gig ,perform and Sleep in different orders .

A native of Cavan Town, Martin is a traditional musician in his own right but spends a lot of his time promoting and producing other people’s work, having a particular passion for all things Cavan-related – its music, its culture, its people. Martin is highly regarded in traditional circles for his dynamic personal style on the accordion with his choice of tasteful settings, improvisation and his unique individual interpretation of the music. He’s highly involved in promoting the music of his County which included production of the highly acclaimed four CD compilations
“A Call from the Musical Heart of Cavan” and more recently the much lauded NYAH festivals plus regular sessions in Cavan town. In conjunction with the Cavan Arts Office he has run workshops on music styles throughout country Cavan and held workshops overseas at the Catskills USA and Tocane France Summer schools… His music has been recorded and released in a number of albums on the Clo Iar Chonnachta Label.
Martin has appeared on BBC, UTV, T Na G and RTE Late Late show as a guest talking about the NYAH and Fleadh Cheoil.
Martin has been All Ireland Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Fleadh Cheoil 2010/2011 and 2012 events and entertainment chair, the All-Ireland Fleadh is Ireland’s largest festival of music, song and dance and was held in Cavan the last three years and attracted over 350,000 visitors and 11,000 musicians from all over the world.
