I began playing the flute in seventh grade and have enjoyed playing it these many years. About three years ago I heard a band in our area playing old time music. I loved the sound! When I began talking with the members they invited me to their monthly jam session. Of course, I went….but what could I play to contribute??? One of the members suggested the penny whistle as a possiblity. Well, as they say, “The rest is history.”

Now I am playing Irish tunes; I love the music, and the friendships I have made enrich my life.
