I live in Cupar, Scotland and I work as a Business Intelligence developer, but don’t let that put you off.

I’ve been playing the violin and fiddle from an early age. I was brought up by my folk singer parents on a diet of folk festivals, folk clubs and sessions. Cutting my teeth in Liverpool’s Irish Centre (now sadly gone), I went on to form various bands with friends and my brother Chris. When arriving at St Andrews University in 2001 I noticed a tragic lack of folk music, and now the session I established is still going stronger than ever.

My dream is to have a folk/thrash metal band with Julian my five string leccy fiddle. Not quite worked that one out yet.
