Jusa Nutter Eejit

tunebook 8 tunes.

Ham-fisted wise-cracking troll plucking away at a 1925 Gibson TB-2 Tenor Banjo. How do you know if a banjo player is playing a vintage banjo? Because they will tell you - repeatedly.

I got hooked on the stuff while listening to my grandparents old ceili band records when I was a little boy. Over the course of my life I have played rock, ska, blues, country, funk and even punk - but none of that stuff has ever filled me up like this music does. My name is Will, and I live in Phoenix, Arizona with my wife and three sons.

Why "Jusa Nutter Eejit?"
It was the way I was introduced at my very first session. "Who’s that fella?" says the flute player motioning to me - "Looks like jusa nutter eejit to me" mumbled the fiddle player. I remind myself of this little story whenever I feel myself forgetting just how humbling this musical journey can be.
