  • Re: Any players in Durango, CO.?

I don't go to contra dances, nor do I know where I would find one in the city. Any contact info for locals? There's only one "irish" pub (that really isn't in any sense of the term) and they know nothing of Irish trad. music or any local scene there. P... more…

  • Re: Syn Whistles

I have played three of them and strongly disliked all. I think Earle is a very nice guy, and he did go out of his way to offer a solution. But in the end, I simply didn't care for the look, tone or playability of any of the whistles. more…

Updated the files and should have all the tune names labeled correctly - more or less! Also added one new clip and resampled a few of the tracks for better sound quality. This made them larger again, but still, I feel they're worth the wait. Sorry for ... more…

That's just what the guy singing it always calls it - could be something different. In Irish music, it usually is. ;) more…

If you're having any sort of trouble, I'd suggest right clicking and "save target as" to your machine. The files average about 5 megs each...tried to go smaller, but lost a lot in sound quality. I've gotten them all to download from the site just fine o... more…
