tunebook 125 tunes.

The funniest question I think i’m ever asked, or at least I laugh everytime I’m asked, is "What instrument do you play?" So here is the list: fiddle, tin whistle, button accordion, piano accordion, mandolin, concertina, piano, guitar and bodhran. Unfortunately I don’t have access to all these instruments at all times and have been known to borrow from my friends at sessions the instruments I do not own (concertina and bodhran) If that’s not enough to keep me going at a session I am also a singer (traditional english and sean nos), a lilter and a dancer (step, set, sean nos, ceili and figure). But enough about me.

I play with my brothers (flute, whistle, guitar and bagpipes between two of them) and with my local Comhaltas branch as well as with the Connacht performance group Meitheal. With Comhaltas I am oifigeach na n-og for my local comhaltas and am therefore responsible for the activites of Comhaltas na nOg in my branch. I run youth practices for beginners and have responsibility for organising sessions as well as the odd public performance.

Obviously I live for trad music
