I play an octave mandolin made by Otis Thomas of Cape Breton. See www.fiddletree.com for a picture. I also play a Paramount Style B tenor banjo. For people who are interested in this kind of thing, the mando has a 21" scale and the banjo is a 19 fret 23" scale. Both are tuned GDAE an octave below the fiddle. I use them for melody playing. In 2017, a National Style "O" Tenor guitar was added to the fleet.
When playing beyond the walls of the family room, I can usually be found in The Black Swan on Thursday nights.
