dafydd on The Session

I’m David Meredith, or Dafydd in Welsh, 56 years of age. I live in Flanders, what some will think of as Belgium. I play Celtic ,Old Time, Blues,Jug Band,Skiffle on (deep breath) guitar,fiddle,bouzouki,cittern ~ 4 and 5 string banjo, mandolin, appalachian dulcimer - anything with strings on it ~ but also tin whistle and harmonica. I jam with friends and I’m in two bands at the moment, “Cool McFinn”, Irish, from just across the border in Holland; and “Medra” from Antwerp, playing Irish and Old Time American. On occassion I sit in and play guitar with a blues band. In October found me playing spooky fiddle for a Halloween play that some mates put on in Antwerp. I’m regularly in concert with the band “CoolMcFinn”, including the cafe scene, and it is not unusual that a riotous session follows…
