irish ruff
tunebook 1 tune.
I’m Charlie C., a drummer in Colorado, have played bodhran for about four years, and drumset, symphonic and concert percussion for about 30. Too hard to pay the bills performing music so my day job is a certified public accountant. Besides collecting drums, I do articles and photography for several magazines, work at the local clays range, and buy and sell vintage drums and cymbals (mostly on the internet). “Irish_Ruff”, my screen name, is one of my collection of bodhran “rudiments” which I hope to publish one day, to further the development of the instrument. I travel to flyfish in remote locations, hike and bike in the mountains, shoot skeet and sporting clays, and enjoy golf. In Scotland, I’ve been to St. Andrew’s, Royal Troon and Carnoustie…. plus a visit to the now defunct Celtic Music Museum in Inverness, home of Loch Ness…. My dream is to tour N. Ireland….. (Baahh-dhrh-rat-e-Tadrh-re-ati-lladre-atle-Tadrrattle-tah)…
notes: irish ruff, call&report, accented upstroke, rim flam, muted pop,…
