I am a human services bureaucrat in Massachusetts. I play both traditional music (flutes, whistles, and whatever else needs to be played) and early music (baroque flutes, recorders, and various obscure wind instruments). I play a mix of New England, Cape Breton, Appalachian, Celtic, and British Island music. I love to play and dance for contradances.

I began to play traditional music when I went to grad school in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. These were the heady days when Triona Ni Dhomhnaill and Touchstone, the Red Clay Ramblers, Gray Larsen and Malcolm Dagleish were there. New England is a great place for traditional music.
