I’ve been playing tenor banjo and mandolin with a local session group in Champaign, Illinois since about 2010. As an adult learner and a newcomer to the music, I was extremely fortunate to fall in with a group of musicians who, in addition to being some of the finest players I know and carrying with them decades of combined experience in the solid session traditions of Chicago, St. Louis and Milwaukee, have also become some of my closest friends.

Any of you out there who think it’s too late to start--it’s not. Listen, listen, listen, play, play, play. Repeat.
