Been playing in a contra dance band setting since 2000.
I have been a member of several contra dance bands in So. Cal, and have sat in with many on the west and east coast. I’ve also mentored young musicians and other seasoned musicians who have been inspired by the genre, My musical interests are New England, Celtic, Quebecois, Cape Breton, southern (Appalachian) and modern contra dance music that stretches traditional boundaries.
I am always looking for new contra dance tunes and sets that will lift the dancers to another plateau.
